Typical assignments include technical and business studies,
reports and recommendations, actuarial models, certifications, expert witness,
and/or information systems. Working with the client, Marker develops a plan
that describes the key persons doing the work, the methodology, the
support staff, the approximate number of hours, and the proposed
time frame for completion. Marker reviews and modifies this plan until it
satisfies the client. Marker's work is guided by the Actuarial Standards
of Practice developed by the Casualty Actuarial Society and the
American Academy of Actuaries. Interim progress is reported at intervals
the client determines. Marker consults with the client frequently during the project.
Reports are prepared in draft form for the client to review before the final
report is issued. Marker Actuarial has affiliations with other Actuarial
consultants for projects that are too large for its staff to complete.
